Your a-z guide to waste disposal
This guide has been designed to help you to dispose of your waste in the safest and most environmentally-friendly way. If there is anything you wish to dispose of that has not been included in this guide, please contact us on 01204 336633.
Shoes
You can take them to a Charity Shop or use the shoe banks on the Bring Sites. Click here to find your nearest Bring Site.
Soil
Do not put soil into your green bin or grey bin. Why not offer it to your neighbours for their gardens or take it to your local Household Waste Recycling Centre.
Spectacles
Most opticians now have a box for unwanted glasses whether they are broken or not. These are then used by charities working with disadvantaged people in other countries. Vision Aid Overseas recycles thousands of pairs of second-hand spectacles every year.
