Has your collection been missed?

Operational difficulties

If it is still between 7.30am - 6pm on the day you have been given for the collection of your item(s), we may just not have got to your property yet

However, to see if we are running late or have other operational difficulties, follow this link to view the Operational Difficulties display screen and find out when your item(s) will be removed.

Access to Property

We sometimes experience access problems such as a utility company or parked vehicles preventing access to your property. If you think this has been the case, please call Access Bolton on Tel: 01204 336632 on the next working day (Mon - Fri) after your collection was due. We will then advise you when we will return to remove your item(s).

Access to Items

  • The bulky household items collection service runs from 7:30am until 6.00pm Monday to Friday, including Bank Holidays.  Did you provide free access to the item(s) between those times?
  • Was access prevented by a locked gate?
  • Our crews are instructed not to enter any building, shed or outhouse, in order to avoid any potential claims or damage liability.  Were the items left out in the open in an accessible place as stated when ordering the service?
  • Our crews are instructed not to access property where animals are not secured for safety reasons.  Did you ensure any animals were secured?
  • To prevent possible claims against the service, our crews are instructed not to remove items that were not ordered for removal.  Did you ensure that only items requested for removal at the point of ordering were put out for collection?

If your answer is no to any of the above we may have called and not been able to remove your items. You may call Access Bolton on tel: 01204 336632 to re-order the collection.  However, if your items were not removed for one of the above reasons, there will be an additional charge.

Bulky collection missed - No Reason

If we have not removed your item(s) by 6pm on the day of collection you were given and there does not appear to be any reason why we missed your collection then please accept our apologies and ring Access Bolton on Tel: 01204 336632 after 8am on the following day (Mon - Fri). They will first check with the crew to see if there actually was a reason and advise you accordingly. If not, they will arrange for your items to be collected on the next working day.
